One of the biggest trends in natural health for the last 3 years is anything with Turmeric or its active component — Curcumin. And they say this trend will continue for the next 5 years at least as experts predict what Glucosamine Sulfate did for the natural health industry in the mid 1990’s, the same trend is set to happen for Turmeric into the next decade. As such it is no wonder why brands in supplements, health and beauty and foods are eager to infuse and create some amazing products with Turmeric over the last few year.

Now the big trend with supplements is to create more of a natural environment in our bodies to maximize the absorbency to get the most curcumin from the turmeric. This is what we call whole food based supplements and using a natural “catalyst” to speed up the reaction in the body and isolate the pure ingredient from the whole herb so it delivers maximum absorption. Meaning the supplement is designed to be the most natural way of recreating the most optimal absorption just like our bodies do when we would consume it in food – just at a higher rate that is more symbolic of a whole food with limited synthetic binders and fillers — like Solaire Naturals Super Turmeric.

Turmeric is one of those supplements people often ask if it is really worth all the hype when you can just buy it as a spice and include it in your daily meals. But ideally the best way to get the most absorption of Curcumin from Turmeric is to take it with another ingredient called
Piperine which is derived from black pepper fruit – Piperine nigrium. A recent study claimed combining 20mg of Piperine with 2 grams Turmeric (2000mg) allowed for over 2000% more absorbability. In the end the more of this raw herb that can be absorbed, the more the effects of mental awareness, immunity and better response to pain relief will be achieved for all.

Keep it healthy
